1. Email only people you may lawfully contact
Use subscribed contacts who asked to receive your news or who you may lawfully email under the rules applying to you and them. Keep a record of when and how permission was obtained. Do not use purchased, scraped, guessed, rented or third-party lists without valid, transferable permission.
2. Preserve permission and suppression information
Imports must preserve Mailchimp or source-system statuses. Never relabel an unsubscribed, cleaned, bounced or complained address as subscribed merely to send to it. A person who previously unsubscribed may be re-added only after giving new express permission, with the source and date recorded.
3. Identify yourself clearly
Use an accurate From name, verified sending domain, working reply-to address, studio or business name and valid postal address. Subject lines and content must not be deceptive.
4. Honour opt-outs immediately
Every live marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Do not remove, hide or interfere with it. ArtBFF permanently suppresses unsubscribes, hard bounces and spam complaints for that artist account so they are excluded from future campaigns.
5. Send carefully
Send yourself a test, check artwork, names, links and the footer, and use a small test segment before a large campaign. Respect plan and daily safety limits. High bounce, complaint or unsubscribe rates may cause a campaign or account to be paused while the list is reviewed.
6. Enforcement
ArtBFF may reject a list, stop a campaign or suspend email access to prevent harm, comply with law or meet provider requirements. Questions about these rules can be sent to support@artbff.com.
